Fin

Tutoring: Maths Specialist, Maths Methods, OLNA, General, ATAR Physics

My name is Fin, I started up Everyday Tutors in 2024 because I wanted students to get the help they needed to excel in their subjects. I’ve been part of the tutoring team ever since and I’ve helped a wide group of students achieve success, some wanting to be extended or get ahead of their class and others needing help refocusing on the fundamentals.

I have a passion for giving 100% and learning and I hope to share that with all of my students as I tutor them. I employ a variety of tutoring techniques to engage my students and I often incorporate in short breaks and games to help struggling students remain focused.

I was very fortunate to attend a great high school where I was well supported by teachers and peers and thrived academically. I was the Dux of my class several times and in my graduating year I was the Dux proxime and received the All Star Award for my participation in variety of extracurricular activities and taking on school leadership roles including being the head boy last year. I also received the top marks for Physics, English, History and graduated with an ATAR score of 98.3. Though these academic successes do not in themselves make me a good tutor they do give me a strong knowledge base from which to teach my students.

Andrew

Tutoring: Maths Specialist, Maths Methods, ATAR Chemisty

I have always taken the highest math class available throughout my high school journey, performing well in all of them. Currently I am enrolled in advanced biomed at curtin and scored an atar of 97.85. I took math methods, math specialist, chemistry, physics and english as my ATARS. I recieved dux in both year 11 and 12, scoring the highest in the school in math methods, math specialist, and chemistry. I have also achieved academic honours. I don’t only enjoy maths though; I also love reading and playing board games. I have been tutoring for a year now, and I have always helped my friends and family with maths and science. I have also volunteered to help kids learn how to play chess.

When I am tutoring, I like to encourage my student to tell me what they know and what they are struggling with. I find that most of the time, the student will come to the answer by themselves, I focus on helping facilitate this process, helping when needed, and explaining new concepts (in other words I will refrain from just telling the student the answer. I believe that this helps strengthen their ability to solve problems by themselves, as in a test they won’t have someone to help them. To be honest my grades started to rise when I gained confidence in class and started asking questions, I hope to encourage any student that I am tutoring to ask questions and hopefully gain a curiosity towards maths or science. I also believe that the tutoring strategy should be adapted depending on the student. I hope to connect to the students I am tutoring, allowing me to tutor them to the best of my ability. I will also use the first lesson to get to know who I’m tutoring, and to help them become more comfortable with me. It will also be beneficial if I could be provided with some of their most resent tests, so I can better adapt my tutoring sessions to be more focused on what they are struggling with.

Nathan

Tutoring: General

My name is Nathan, and I decided to start tutoring after realizing that I genuinely enjoy helping others understand their schoolwork. While assisting my friends with their studies, I discovered that I could make a positive impact by helping more students improve their academic performance through tutoring. I am highly motivated and always give 100%, constantly striving to improve myself both academically and personally.

I use a variety of tutoring techniques to keep students engaged and focused, including short breaks, interactive discussions, and educational games related to the subject matter. These methods help create an enjoyable learning environment while reinforcing key concepts. I have successfully applied these techniques in my own studies, as well as while learning the guitar and teaching myself how to play the drums, which has strengthened my ability to learn and teach effectively.

I am currently in Year 11 at Quinns Baptist College, studying four ATAR subjects: Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, English ATAR, and Physics ATAR. I have maintained an A average in mathematics and science for several years. In addition, I teach at my church’s Sunday school, where I have developed strong communication and leadership skills

These experiences have equipped me with the confidence and ability to tutor mathematics and science efficiently while supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Jasmin

Tutoring: ATAR English

My name is Jasmin, I am currently studying at Edith Cowan University to become an Art and Drama teacher. I have chosen this career pathway because while I excelled during high school, I was surrounded by many who struggled and lacked the resources to improve their performance. I am passionate about helping people and want to use my time as a tutor both helping students improve to achieve their goals and gaining the nessesary experience so that I may become a valuable teacher.

During my time as an ATAR student I achieved a score of 86, receiving top marks in Drama and excelling in English, a subject I am extremely passionate about and am interested in tutoring. My goal as a tutor is to provide students the necessary tools to achieve high marks in subjects they may struggle with. I aim to achieve this by encouraging students to peruse topics that genuinely interest them when studying English, rather than encouraging generic materials as it not only sets them apart but creates both passion and pride in their work.

Accounting and maths have always been my favourite subjects at school. I am available to tutor accounting and finance ATAR, mathematics applications ATAR, mathematics years 7-10 and science year 7-10. I will try my best to ensure that I find a way of teaching/explaining that is best suited for the student’s individual needs.

I was dux proxime in year 11 and got the highest grades in accounting and finance Atar and human biology Atar for years 11 and 12. I received full colour throughout years 11 and 12. I graduated with an ATAR of 93. I have always prioritised consistent hard work and will encourage my students to do the same.

James

Tutoring: ATAR Accounting, ATAR Maths Methods Y11

My name is James, when Fin reached contacted me to join his tutoring group I was thrilled. Helping others achieve the best they can has always been important to me. Throughout primary and high school I would often help other students when they struggled with math and science concepts. These subjects have always been my strong suit, (just don’t ask me about art and English). Throughout my journey I used many different study and teaching methods, some working much better than others. However I know as well as anyone that everyone is different and having a wide range of study tools is important to help an individual home in on their own skills.

In my graduating year of 2025, I achieved a 93.55 ATAR with my most notable subjects being Math Methods and Accounting. Achieving an A in Methods and in Accounting with a final exam mark in Accounting of 90%.
With these achievements I believe that I can be a great resource for students regardless of their end goals with studying. Building a strong base is essential to be successful and I believe that I can help people build it.

Xavier

Tutoring: ATAR Geography, ATAR Physics Y11, General

Hi, my name is Xavier. I look forward to tutoring as a way to help students navigate the academic rigors of high school and the pressures of the ATAR. Having recently transitioned from high school to university, I understand that the stress to perform can be overwhelming. I aim to bridge that gap by providing high-level academic support paired with the practical study strategies I used to succeed. My tutoring is informed by a consistent history of excellence, including Academic Excellence Awards throughout Years 7 to 10 and Academic Half Colours earned by maintaining A+ grades in four ATAR subjects. While I have a broad academic base, I have always had a particular drive for Science, consistently topping my cohort in Integrated Science. These results paved the way for my current studies in an exclusive dual ECU and overseas degree in Environmental Science, which has given me a global perspective on education and a deep understanding of what it takes to enter competitive programs.

For middle school students in Years 7 to 10, I offer comprehensive support in Mathematics, Science, and HASS. During these years, I consistently maintained marks of 80% and above, and I use that experience to help younger students build the foundational habits necessary for senior school success. For students in Years 11 and 12, I focus on the subjects I am most passionate about, including Geography, Physics, and both Applications and Essentials Mathematics. My expertise in Geography is further enhanced by my university studies, where I have been granted the rare opportunity to study the subject overseas. This allows me to bring a unique, real-world perspective to the curriculum. I believe that a great tutor does more than just explain content; they build a student’s confidence by offering targeted support and sharing the organizational skills required for top-tier results. I am excited to help the next group of students reach their full potential and find their own path to success.

Damian

Tutoring: Maths Applications, ATAR Biology Y11, General

My name is Damian, and I have a strong interest in helping others learn, whether that involves foundational concepts or more advanced aspects of a subject. I adopt a calm and approachable teaching style, taking the time to work at each student’s individual pace to ensure they feel confident and supported throughout their learning journey.

I am passionate about giving my full effort to both learning and teaching, and I strive to pass this dedication on to my students through my tutoring. I utilise a range of tutoring strategies to keep students engaged, and I often incorporate short breaks and interactive activities to help students who may struggle with concentration remain focused and motivated.

I was fortunate to attend a highly supportive high school environment, where encouragement from both teachers and peers allowed me to thrive academically. Throughout my high school career, I achieved several academic distinctions, most notably receiving Full Academic Colours and the Science Subject Award. This year, I will be commencing a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering at Edith Cowan University (ECU).
